VOTE FOR CHANGE even if it means voting for someone not of your "party". (Many Republicans are currently disgusted that their party has been hijacked and not the "Republican party of Ronald Reagan" anymore. Both major parties are losing registrations. People are changing their registration from Republican or Democrat to "Independent".)
YOU SHOULD NEVER THROW AWAY YOUR VOTE BY WRITING IN "mickey mouse" or some other fictional character; this kind of vote ensures that the current mess and insanity will continue -- vote against the status quo and for an incumbent's opponent IF the opponent is offering a change and/or accountability! (You can vote to remove them in 2 years if they lied.)
YOU SHOULD QUESTION the actions of all of your elected officials often and without relent. You elect them to SERVE you and when they forget the values of the people WHO put them in office, remove them by voting them out. Do not fall victim to "I didn't know". Ignorance should never be an excuse for voting for someone whose character is unknown.
DEMAND TERM LIMITS -- across the board for every elected official. This ensures that every elected official remembers that we expect them to serve "We The People" and not themselves.
